Blue TransitionsSM Short Term Health Insurance
Accidents and unexpected illnesses can happen to anyone. That's why people who are temporarily uninsured need immediate coverage with Blue Transitions, a new short-term health insurance plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM). This Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan lets you choose from three deductible options and decide how long you need the coverage - from one to six months with the option to reapply for up to six additional months.
Blue Transitions is designed to fit your budget while providing the peace of mind that you are receiving reliable health care coverage and protection from unexpected health expenses. You get help accessing PPO providers nationwide through the BlueCardฎ program, as well as up to $2 million in covered benefits per person. BCBSNM pays 70 percent and you pay 30 percent of eligible expenses after you meet the deductible. You can rely on short-term coverage from a health insurance company you know and trust.
